National signing day is quite possibly the biggest creative show off day in college athletics every year. in 2021 I was tasked by app state football with simply showcasing the 2022 app state recruiting class... The Rockboyz22
The challenge came, competing for attention against other big time schools but without the big time budget (less creatives, less equipment, less assets to work with). With this in mind I knew I wouldn't have much help so I had to plan for that. The goal was to make one graphic to post first thing in the morning establishing a flashy dynamic look using 3D and lighting, two vertical instagram slides per player (or one horizontal twitter graphic) packed with info on one slide and razzle dazzle on the other, and one video/motion graphic per player to really show off the skillset and personality. With graphics intern Nic Oerter creating logos for each of the players I added those into the graphics as well and this is what I came up with.
